What is Coffee Drunk?

Coffee has numerous health benefits, but for some people, even a small amount can cause discomfort. What I mean is they get a Coffee Drunk!

Coffee contains caffeine which can help keep you alert; however, if you consume more than 400mg of caffeine a day or are not accustomed to this beverage, your body may become sensitive to the components in coffee.

This is what’s known as a Coffee drunk!

What is Coffee Drunk?

Coffee drunk is a state or emotion experienced by coffee drinkers when they feel captivated and affected by the taste, aroma, and the effect of coffee on their mind and body.

When someone says they’re “Coffee drunk,” it usually refers to how they feel after enjoying a cup, when they’re excited, relaxed, or deeply immersed in the delicious taste of coffee.

Many people experience a coffee buzz where they feel uneasy - this is when a coffee drinker has consumed too much, leading to symptoms like stress, anxiety, or sleeplessness.

My advice is to maintain a reasonable coffee intake and consider its impact on your health and mood.

Causes of Coffee drunk

As I mentioned in the section “What is Coffee drunk?” Caffeine is what makes us drunk. But is there anything else besides caffeine?

I will reveal the cause of Coffee drunk below!

Due to caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant that can affect the adrenal glands. As a result, it releases Epinephrine (Adrenaline) and Norepinephrine (Noradrenaline), which amplify the activity of various hormones.

Caffeine is a stimulant that can affect the adrenal glands

Excessive intake of caffeine can lead to an increased heart rate, causing the body to produce more Adrenaline. This can make you feel like your heart is beating faster, increase blood pressure, and lead to nervous tension symptoms such as restlessness, anxiety, and tinnitus.

Moreover, caffeine stimulates the secretion of gastric acid. Drinking coffee on an empty stomach can damage the stomach lining, resulting in uncomfortable sensations in the abdomen.

Due to genetics

Genetic factors also play a role in leading to Coffee drunk. This was quite a revelation for me as I researched deeper into the causes of caffeine overdose.

Coffee addiction is hereditary

People with certain gene variants have a reduced capacity to metabolize caffeine. When they consume coffee, the caffeine lingers longer in their system and accumulates gradually, making them more susceptible to caffeine intoxication. For pregnant women, there’s a possibility that their offspring may also be allergic to caffeine and may experience Coffee drunk like their mothers.

Those who do not have these gene variants can metabolize caffeine more quickly, making them less likely to suffer from an overdose.

Due to Age

The severity of caffeine overdose and coffee poisoning also depends on age and health status. This is particularly true, as I have personally experienced it most distinctly.

Before the age of 30, drinking coffee never bothered me, but after crossing 30, even slightly strong coffee has started to make me feel uneasy and a bit shaky in the head. It’s Coffee drunk, my friends, and it is indeed related to our age!

caffeine overdose due to age

According to the Headline on caffeine:

Consuming 400mg of caffeine daily is safe, which is equivalent to 2 to 4 cups of coffee. However, exceeding this amount could be fatal.

Therefore, it is advisable to limit caffeine intake to 200mg at one time. Pregnant women should restrict their daily intake to 200mg.

For those with a history of heart conditions, blood pressure issues, or respiratory diseases, the safe intake is only 100 – 150mg. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should only consume 80 mg/day, and children under the age of 6 should not drink coffee at all.

Exceeding the body’s tolerance can lead to symptoms such as dizziness and gastrointestinal discomfort, and can even be life-threatening.

“Actually, at first, I experienced a Coffee drunk, I had no idea, and then it was all over at once. That means I did nothing at all :)))!

But if you have a Coffee drunk for a long time, it’s very uncomfortable, so you must have and know some remedies.

I’ve listed a few methods below, give them a try!

Drink water

When experiencing a Coffee drunk, you should drink plenty of water.

Drink water

Caffeine is absorbed into the bloodstream very quickly but is also water-soluble and excreted through urine. Therefore, drinking a lot of water will help dilute and rapidly excrete this toxin.

Hydrating helps restore the body’s moisture levels and replenish lost minerals, regulating the function of organs and stabilizing the heartbeat.

Light exercise

Light physical activity helps the body eliminate caffeine faster through the sweat glands, balancing the heart rate and breathing rhythm.

Light exercise

If you’ve consumed a lot of caffeine, just try to engage in gentle exercise for about 15 minutes. At this point, the caffeine will be eliminated, and the body will return to a normal state.

Drink orange juice

One simple way to improve a Coffee drunk situation is to drink orange juice. Orange juice helps dilute the concentration of caffeine in the body while also providing vitamin C and minerals to help strengthen the body.

But a Coffee drunk can make both me and you feel uncomfortable!

  • The phenomenon of Coffee drunk is mainly due to consuming too much caffeine compared to what the body can metabolize. To avoid this, you should drink coffee in moderation and it is best to drink it after breakfast.
  • Caffeine can interact with some medications, leading to Coffee drunk or even poisoning. Therefore, you should avoid coffee if you are taking any medications. If it’s hard to quit coffee, you might wait for 2 - 3 hours after taking medication before drinking coffee to be safer.
  • Do not drink coffee with alcohol as these substances can impact health, especially the cardiovascular system. So, you should avoid alcohol if you’ve had coffee.
  • Limit or avoid coffee for pregnant women, nursing mothers, people with heart or stomach conditions.
  • You should not drink coffee on an empty stomach as it can cause gastrointestinal discomfort and restlessness. Caffeine also acts more strongly on an empty stomach, leading to a faster heartbeat.”

How long does Coffee drunk last?

Depending on the individual’s physiology, the duration of intoxication from caffeine can last from 15 to 20 minutes, and in some cases, even several hours. However, it is important to pay attention to the severity of a caffeine overdose.

A mild Coffee drunk is not a serious concern. Please refer to the various methods for treating coffee intoxication and the ways to limit coffee intoxication that I have listed in the article. They are very useful!
